Stitchin’ Saturday #3

This week has been a good week.  I finished several things and I love the feeling of accomplishment I get when I finish a big project.  It is almost as good as a brownie – almost.  I like to put them in the center of my dining room table so I can look at them and be excited all day.

Things I finished:

-Climbing Kisses baby blanket.  This one ended up pretty different from the original pattern.  I decided to make it stroller size instead of crib, and changed the border.  I did not like how the original pattern had lines going out at different spots than the inside body.  I am really happy with how it turned out and I need to get it put on the shops this week.

-Twin Bunnies – Etsy Special Order.  These bunnies turned out super cute.  While working on them I started getting all kinds of ideas for mixing up colors and not just making them in solid colors.  Actually I am thinking of using my leftover balls from other projects and making trauma teddies to give to my local police.  I read about these in a crochet magazine and I love the idea.  I think the striped and mixed up bears would be perfect ways to distract kids in a troubled situation.

-Moogly CAL Square 2.  I love this square.  I am thinking of making a pillow case for one of my plainer couch pillows.  It is dramatic enough I will love it for a long time, and not to girly that Hubby will be annoyed with it.

 Poor Ignored WIPS

·    Heating Pad Cover – I am writing a pattern for one to go on my electric heating pad.  I am so tired of the cheap flimsy one that won’t stay in place.

·    Cuff Booties – This is a kit I ordered from Craftsy.  Something to make just for me.

·    the most disappointing sweater ever (I am not ready to talk about it and it is in the corner thinking about what it did wrong.)

·    Amelia’s Quilt – I started a jelly roll quilt for my daughter.  I only work on it when Hubby is on long work trips so its been in a tote since November.  Thinking of breaking it out next week while he is out of town
