After I started working with yarn I only used what I could buy at the big box stores. It is pretty awesome yarn and it will do just about everything that you need it to do. It was several years before I tried an animal fiber. The first one I tried was Lion Brand’s Angora Merino. It comes from Italy people. Italy.
I have made a couple different things with this yarn. A scarf, a shawl, and a beret. Everything comes out perfect. The only downside is you have to hand wash it, but hey that is ok – just don’t make mittens. This giveaway is for 2 skeins in the color Sangria. Each skein is 131 yards. If you want this yummy yarn in a different color you can click this link to Craftsy – there are 9 others to choose from at only $6.00
The winner is: Denise from Georgia!
Even though this contest is closed there is another one for this month! Just check the Giveaways tab in the header to find it!
I think a cute scarf.

I’m a shawl lover, so I’d probably make a lace shawlette of some sort.

I’ve never knit with angora – I think I’d make a cosy hat for myself if I won!
