This week I spent a lot of time organizing my studio. By ‘Studio’ I mean the third bedroom I share with Hubby as an office. I decided a few months ago with all the money I have in craft supplies in that room I can call it my Studio. It had gotten out of hand. My WIPs were spread out, half done scrapbooks were all over the table, and my stash was exploding like biscuit dough out of one those pop open cans. It is not perfect now but I can walk around in there and find what I need.
I got my Monthly Yarn Club Kit from Darn Good Yarn. I am kind of loving it. It is a bright aqua blue, and thick and nubbly. This is going to be the first time I work with a sari yarn, or a nubbly one like this. The pattern that came with it has both a knit and a crochet version this time. I am going to be working on it this week and let you know how it works out. I just got it off my swift so I can work on it tonight.
While cleaning up the Studio, I went ahead and frogged the most disappointing crochet sweater ever. It took awhile but now I have the yarn to reuse in something else and the weight of the thing is off my shoulders. Thinking of using that pattern book to start a bonfire and make smores. But I am in the middle of a DietBet and can’t eat smores right now.
The March Giveaway closed and the winner is CraftyOne. Thank you to everyone who entered. I am going to be opening the April Giveaway tomorrow. It is going to be for 2 skeins of Angora Merino yarn!
