This week I have been working on my Breakers Tee sweater and going through my old magazines.
I already love this sweater. The body is so easy to work I rarely have to think about it while I am working. I have the back done and about half of the front. I have already picked out the pants that I am going to wear with it!
How do you deal with your old magazines? After cleaning out my craft room I realized that I have about 8 years of crochet, knitting, quilting, scrapbooking, food, travel, and house magazines. I keep telling myself I need the craft magazines for the patterns and inspiration so they have to stay. The travel for dreaming and planning so I can’t get rid of those. The house magazines because hello I have this house that needs so much done to it. The food ones need to stay because we eat food, and what if I need that special asparagus recipe from Food Network back in July 2014.
I am planning on tearing out the patterns, recipes, and any other actual article I might actually use and then recycle the rest. Do you keep articles? If you do leave me a comment below so I can try it out too.
I told you about the Style Your Mind podcast back in Stitchin’ Saturday 57. I love her and this week I found all of her books on Amazon Kindle. I am starting with Sparkle: The Girls Guide to Living Deliciously Dazzling, Wildly Effervescent, Kick Ass Life. It doesn’t give you a secret that if you follow will make your life perfect. It helps you find the “fabulous qualities that you already possess.” I am only a third of the way through but it is awesome. If you need a little help finding ways to love and accept yourself you should check it out. If you have Kindle Unlimited it is there for free right now. Click here for my affiliate link to Amazon.
